ThriveToday
Project Scope: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
Project Length: 29 months
For a little over two years, I served as the CMO of THRIVEtoday — guiding the brand through a full strategic transformation. The organization had powerful content, a devoted following, and a meaningful mission, but their external communications weren’t fully capturing the depth of their work.
My role was to bring clarity, consistency, and momentum — and to build an ecosystem that could support sustainable, long-term scale.
The Challenge
THRIVEtoday needed:
A unified brand identity
Clear messaging across all channels
A strategy that aligned with their specialized niche
A marketing system that could reliably support growth
Their audience was highly engaged but fragmented. The brand itself needed coherence — a central thread that connected website, courses, communication, and in-person experiences.
The Work
Over the course of 29 months, I led:
A full rebrand of THRIVEtoday
A new website with e-commerce features and intuitive user experience
The development of 15 courses and workbooks
A multi-segmented lead-generation funnel
Email segmentation and automation across six distinct audience types
Social media and content strategy, including full content development
Event and email marketing, from planning through execution
I managed and refined all outward-facing communications to create a brand that felt cohesive, recognizable, and trusted — no matter where someone encountered it.
Outcomes & Impact
During my 2.5-year tenure, THRIVEtoday saw significant growth:
80% increase in engagement rates
75% increase in website traffic
40% average email open rate across a 10k+ subscriber list
These results weren’t fueled by aggressive tactics. They were driven by clarity, consistency, and psychological safety — giving the audience something they could trust, return to, and engage with naturally.
This foundation is what allowed the brand’s niche and message to scale quickly. And the continued growth THRIVEtoday has experienced since I exited is a direct reflection of the infrastructure we built together.
Jen Coursey | Executive Director
“ Megan worked as our Marketing Director at THRIVEtoday for two and a half years. She was instrumental in rebranding our organization and giving us a consistent brand across emails, social media, website, print materials and all outward facing communications.
She redesigned our website to make it more user friendly, set up multiple social media platforms and ran our communications on them.
She helped us present ourselves more professionally to our audience while also helping us better understand our audience. She came up with our marketing plan and helped us carry it out each year.
Megan is very creative, has an amazing eye for design and a great grasp of marketing strategies for growth. She was a delight to have on the team and her teammates really enjoyed her.
I believe Megan would be a great fit for your organization and you would significantly benefit from her skills, gifts and talents.”
